The day of “The Gift”

I’ve declared today to be the day of “The Gift”. I’ve decided to see how many gifts I can give today without spending any money. It’s only 7:30 in the morning and I’ve managed 4 already.

I found this project on-line and it’s such a great little gift idea. I especially thought it was a cute Valentine’s gift, although it would be great for birthday, Christmas, mothers’ day, father’s day and more! It’s even a green gift because then we can stop throwing away (or even recycling) the paper version.

When I was growing up most of the socializing our family did was with family and a close-knit group of friends. These are the people you are closest to and so bringing a hostess gift and sending thank you gifts wasn’t part of the deal. The result is that I’ve always felt just a little challenged by the “small gift” concept.
