I saw this video on YouTube and it’s a really simple, quick & easy project to make. I love it because there are tons of uses for these boards and you can make them for yourself, to decorate or to organize, and you can give them as gifts.

In the video they are showing how to use their chalkboard vinyl product (which is pretty cool), but you can also buy chalkboard paint and just paint a backing or piece of craft wood to use as well.
There are tons of options for customizing your board; from hand painting to stickers, let your imagination run wild! Here are a few thoughts to get your creative juices flowing:
- Menu Board ~ Customize with a chef/chef’s hat, some culinary tools or food and write “Today’s Menu” or “This Week’s Culinary Delights” or something else fun then post the family meals in chalk.
- Drawing Board ~ Use a larger frame and customize it with the child’s name or some favorite things. Hang it in the kitchen, family room, play room or even the child’s bedroom and watch their creativity come to life!
- Kid’s Door Board ~ Use a small frame, customize with your child’s name, and hang them on the kids’ bedroom doors. It’s a great place to leave notes of encouragement or simple ‘I love you’ notes.
- Family Calendar ~ Customize with a family name at the top and use vinyl or paint to add grid lines and use it as a family calendar.
- Grocery List ~ Use a little frame, add some magnets to the back and post it on the frig.
The possibilities are endless!
